Data Protection Statement

The protection and safety of your personal data is a high priority for us. For this reason, we adhere strictly to the rules set out in the General Data Protection Regulations (DSGVO) that came into effect on 25 May 2018. In the following, you will be informed about what kind of data is collected and for what purpose:

1. Data transfer/data logging:
When you visit this site, the web server automatically saves log files of the access data - but without any reference to you as a person. This data includes, for example, the browser type and version, the operating system used, the referrer URL (of the previously accessed page), the IP address or the inquiring computer, the date and time of the server inquiry, as well as the data inquiry of the client (file name and URL). This data is collected solely for statistical purposes; it is not passed on to third parties, whether for commercial or non-commercial purposes.

2. Use of personal data:
Only personal data that has been given on a voluntary basis - as part of an enquiry, for example - is collected and processed. Any information that serves to establish your identity and which can be traced back to you, such as your name, email address and telephone number, is considered personal data. In writing (by email or fax, for example), you can withdraw - with immediate effect - your previously given consent to store your personal data. When you get in touch with us though the contact options offered on our website, your data is stored as this allows us to process your inquiry. None of this data is passed on to third parties without your consent unless statutory regulations make this necessary.

3. Requesting information, the correction or deletion of your data:
In accordance with the applicable legislation, you can request that we provide you with information, at no cost and at any time, on whether we have stored your personal data and, if so, which data. You will receive a notification to this effect promptly. Furthermore, you can demand the correction of incorrect data, have the processing of your data restricted - or have your personal data deleted - as well as object to the processing of your data. If applicable, you can assert your right to data portability. Insofar as your desire to have personal data deleted conflicts with a legal requirement for the retention of this data (storage of records on call details, internet traffic and transaction data by governments, for example), you have the right to have your data deleted. Data stored by us that has outlived its purpose, and is not subject to any statutory retention periods, is deleted. When deletion is not possible because the data is required for statutory purposes, processing of this data is restricted. In this case, the data is blocked for any other purpose. If you desire the correction, blocking or deletion of your personal data - or information concerning the stored personal data about you - or if you have questions with regard to the collection, processing or use of your personal data - or desire to withdraw your consent to its use - please send an email to the following address: wolf-dietrich(at).ib-guth.de

4. Safety of your data:
Having drawn on the state-of-the-art in terms of our technical and organizational security measures, the data that you have made available to us is stored in such a way that it is not accessible to unauthorized third parties. When you send very sensible data or information, it is advisable to send it per post as complete data security cannot be guaranteed via email.
